I propose that every company, non-profit, and higher education institution do the following annually for its employees.
On November 1, distribute to each permanent employee a large canister of disinfecting wipes for our hard surfaces and a full-size pump bottle of hand sanitizer, along with the reminder that we're encouraged to go home and stay home as soon as we realize we're contagious.
If your company has a wellness or fitness program, maybe they'll consider budgeting this perk. I know I'll be suggesting it. Wellness and fitness, after all, has to be more than just code for "weight loss."
